Tulum: my favorite as the site of Tulum on the ocean front is stunning. The sunshine, blue ocean and white sand reflecting on the stone structures is spectacular. Also for us the fun part was the journey getting here. Rather than take a pricey organised tour with the early start time and all those added extras that we didn't want,we got up later, walked to 2nd Avenue in Playa del Carmen where we picked up a Collectivo (public transport mini bus) to the site. Collectivos don't have set departure times, they just leave when they are full - what a great Idea. It was fun sitting with the locals going to work and nervously wondering how we pay and where we get off. It all became clear and so easy as the driver calls out the locations and you pay when you leave.
