Being Rocked to sleep in Rio Dulce

Arriving at Rio Dulce
Arriving at the edge of the river, maybe we shouldn't have been surprised but we were somewhat surprised to be ushered into a little wooded boat to cross the river for our accommodation for the night.  After just a few minutes we arrived at the other side to the most amazing lodge amongst the mangroves.  We thought we had arrived in Jurassic Park   It was a type of floating lagoon consisting of a series of little cabins, a bar and restaurant.  Not being the most sure footed person, I clung onto John when walking along the boardwalks as just one foot wrong and I would be in the water.

Our accommodation
Our cabin and our bed with a its weird mosquito protection, rocked all night and we shared our room with a couple of baby iguanas. A magical place.
